Avon's Magnetic Nail varnish/ Nails of the week!

Hey!
So this is going to my nails of the week post as well as my first thoughts on Avon's new magnetic nail varnish. I've never tried a magnetic nail varnish, so this is also kind of a first impressions for me.
The way Avon do it is a little different from brands such as Barry M, the magnetic wand comes separately & you can choose from 4 designs whereas, the one's I've seen in shops have the magnet attached to the bottle in some way.
I went with the colour 'Hypnotic Bronze' as I  don't really have a colour like this so wanted to try it out!

So this is how it comes in the packaging, I think it's quite nice, just the regular Avon nail varnish bottle & the wand has enough space to be able to hold it comfortably & also enough surface area to cover your whole nail.

This is what the first coat looks like, it advises you to apply a first coat on all nails, wait to dry & then apply the second coat one at a time & place the magnetic wand over your nail immediately after when the nail is still wet. I think the nail varnish itself is really good though, this is just one coat & it already looks opaque, just needs a few touch ups!
& this is the outcome! It was quite hard to show on camera, as it's one of those nail varnish's where it can look better in certain lights however, I tried my best to photograph it in a way that showed the outcome well enough!
I really like the outcome of this, it's quick and easy to do & gives a really nice look to your nails. As this is quite a subtle colour I do think that is why the outcome might of been harder to show, I think I'm also going to try a blue & the black with different wands, so I'll let you know if those colours have a stronger outcome.. but I do really like this colour & the outcome of this one too! These will be in the book after the current one & will be £3 (usual price will be £6 but their nail varnish are almost always on offer for 3!) & the wand will be 99p each. The only downside I would say about this product is that you have to buy the wand separately but I don't see it as too much of a problem because the ones that are out in the shops are around £5 & with Avon's you get a choice of the design you want.

Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what you think & if you're going to try any of these out?

xx

  1. Me and my friend are Avon reps and we both thought these would be terrible - I'm pleasantly surprised! Thanks for the review :) xx

    1. It turned out better than I expected although, it was the first type of these nail varnish's I've tried so hopefully I'll have a stronger outcome next time! :)
