Getting Arty for Anxiety!

Hey!
A couple of weeks back I decided to get involved with Molly's; http://lyonsnotes.blogspot.co.uk/  Getting Arty for Anxiety project/collab , it's basically showing nail art on how you feel towards Anxiety, your personal experience or just to show your personality in order to raise awareness for mental health.

"People in general tend to have this misconception that mental illnesses, whether it be anxiety, depression, schizophrenia etc. are all something to be embarrassed about, something to sweep under the bed and to try and ignore. However, you're not alone, frighteningly, 1 in 4 people will suffer from mental illness in a year. Mental illnesses, when left to manifest will strip a person of their personalities, and leave you feeling as if you're a shell of your former self. This is why it's important to raise awareness of mental health, to let people know they're not alone and always have someone to talk to. #GettingArtyForAnxiety is a way of expressing your own personalities, and to raise awareness for mental illness whether you're a sufferer yourself, or a family member."
I hope you like my nail art!
(Sorry about the black nail being a little messy, tried to clear it up for the next few photos!)
So I've done a sort of mix & match nail design, the 3 nails which are the same are to show that at first I can appear quite held back and quiet, but once I have got to know you I will open up & show my weird/crazy side! ha, that is what the brighter colours represents, my random personality.
The matte black nail with the stud, is to show that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, as cheesy as that quote might sound to some, there really is & know that it will all be alright in the end. Find something to stay positive about & it will help you through with however you may be feeling.
The final nail.. nude/beige with a heart is to show my support to a person who is very close to me that suffers from Anxiety as well as anyone else that suffers with any type of mental illness.

These are the products I used (Also OPI: Pedal Faster Suzi which I showed above)
- NYC 'Matte me crazy' Avon 'Forget me not blue' Models own 'Lilac Dream George 'Sunset Orance & Models own 'Nude Beige'
I really hope you liked this post! If your involved with this and have already done a post, leave me your blog links because I'd love to check them out!

xx
