Boxing Day/ January Sales!

This year I decided to get up & brave the crowds on boxing day which, to my surprise, wasn't half as busy as I thought it would be! I didn't get all this on one day, I went out again a few other times and here's what I picked up! (I'm sure I've forgot some things!)
The black leggings were the only thing in this haul which weren't actually in the sale but I picked them up at the same time so thought I'd include them! I used to wear leggings all the time, whatever the weather! But I swapped to skinny jeans and have been wearing them for a good few months, I didn't want to go back to the Primark leggings as I feel like their a bit too thin & don't really last that long, so I went with these which I've heard good things about & so far so good! I also picked up about 4 of these basic tops which are great for lounging around the house or layering! I picked up, purple, red, black and blue and they were about £1.50 so, bargain.
I picked up another 3 basic tee's, I'm really into the basic look with skinnies lately, then layering more with silver jewellery etc. I picked up the grey one from asos (I think this was around £5) the blue one is from Primark which was £2.00 and the orange one is from miss selfridge & was £7.00. This one is slightly more fitted which I like & is the main reason I brought it.
I always go straight to topshop when they have any type of sale purely for their jewellery! I always find it hard finding rings which fit my hands.. I seriously have the smallest hands possible! (I once went into a jewellery shop, asked them to measure my ring size & they actually recommended I tried kids sizes! So there ya go! haha) Luckily, these two fitted me perfectly, the eagle one is from topshop and was £4.50 and the skull one was from asos and was around £6 I think! I definitely prefer silver jewellery over gold as I love the 'rockier' kind of look.
This jumper wont be to everyone's taste, but I couldn't resist ordering it! It's from asos and was £17 which is still quite expensive for a sale item I think but I caved in purely because of my love for the simpsons! I actually had two t-shirts in my basket too, but decided to just go with this for now! It's by the brand 'Only' and is a bart simpson jumper which is covered in his picture and popular quotes!
These next photo's aren't the best, I tried taking these actually wearing them as you can see from the first (failed) one! It didn't work out, my camera wouldn't co operate so I hung them up the best I could, ha! The checked shirt is from New look and was £10, it's quite sheer, so a great piece for layering and would also be great in the summer as it's very light. The cream cardigan is from primark (£7) I wasn't even particularly looking for anything but as I was walking down the main aisle, I spotted it out of the corner of my eye & thought it was lovely. It's actually quite heavy for a cardigan which is great at the moment as it keeps you really warm! It has small sequins on too, so you could easily dress this up a bit for evening wear. The grey one is also from new look and I think this was around £7-£9, sorry, I wore this pretty much straight away so can't remember the price! This is another pretty basic item, goes great with almost anything!
I always love checkered/flannel shirts like this, I actually have quite a few now, getting a pretty hefty collection! I think they look great paired with anything for a nice casual look and I don't have one this colour so is a slight change from the others!
This is the only reason I dragged myself out on boxing day! Lush! If you saw my 'what I got for christmas' post, you'll know I did actually get 3 lush sets and also about 3 soap and glory sets but I couldn't resist going down there and seeing what they had left as I know I'll always use it! I actually got to town about 2pm so I thought most things would be gone, I'm so glad they weren't! I picked up two things, the nightingale box which was originally £82.50 so I got it for £41.25 and the 'Christmas candy box' which was £14.95 so I got this one for around £7.50! I'm really pleased with these two and I'm so glad my boyfriend came with me because he carried these all the way around town (I'm pretty small so the bag would of been on the floor!) He also persuaded me to get the nightingale box as people were picking it up and it was selling out quickly, I was just standing there trying to decide whether to get it or not, watching people pick it up! Haha.. I would never normally spend this much on Lush products, but it was the main reason I went down there, I know I'll use them all up and they were 50% off, so bargain! Plus.. blog material, always an excuse!
So many products! (Nightingale box.)
I'm so glad with the pieces I picked up this year, I normally don't bother too much so I'm glad I decided to drag myself out this time around!
What did you pick up in the sale? If you have any posts, definitely leave a link below & I'll check them out!
