Empties #3

I can't remember the last time I put up an empties post! Personally I love reading through them as I find their a great way to get a quick and easy mini review on what people thought. I also love the feeling of using products up... means I have an excuse to go out and buy more!
Nivea Essential Care lip balm; A lip balm is essential for me really, especially during the winter months, I use this every night before I go to bed and usually throughout the day when I feel like I need to. It's a cheap one and really works.. I have so many lip balms to use up at the moment, so I'll repurchase this once their gone!
Nivea Night Cream; I love this, I've been using it for a good few months now and it keeps my face feeling really moisturised and fresh in the morning. I wouldn't say this feels greasy although it can feel a bit heavy when you first put it on, but it's doing it's job through the night!
Olay Day Cream; I feel like I should probably stick to one or the other? but I like a variety haha! I've used this since a young age, it's just a really nice every day moisturiser.. I am debating whether to spend a bit more and trying out a new one.. any reccomendations?
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation; I really liked this foundation however, I don't feel like it's very high coverage but it's good for every day for me while I'm at work. I have since switched back to my original favourite which is the rimmel wake me up, I find that one to be slightly more high coverage but I will give this one another go in the future.. when I feel more confident with my skin!
Hugo Boss Perfume; This perfume has lasted me quite a while and it's definitely a staple that I will always have in my perfume collection!

I know these can be seen as a big no no in the make up world but I do like using them to get the initial make up off my skin and then going in with a micellar water to make sure it's all properly gone!
My favourites are the Nivea cleansing wipes, these are the ones I always go back too.. Their soft on the face and do the job of getting the makeup off. My skin doesn't get irritated by these and is left feelng refreshed.
The olay ones I really didn't like! I found that these really irritated my eyes, even if I slightly wiped over my eyelid to remove shadow. This might just be me, so I'd love to know other peoples opinions? These are the most expensive out of the three so I was expecting them to be slightly better than they were.
Last up are the Simple cleansing wipes, these are ok, I didn't really see much of a difference but they get the initial job done and I would re purchase them again.

Tresemme Dry Shampoo; I'm always using dry shampoo to refresh my hair in between washes and I do like to change it up and try out new ones. I've always liked tresemme products and I can now add this to my list of things I like! I also love the smell of their products, their affordable and a professional product, that I'd definitely recommend.
V05 Dry Shampoo; This used to be the one I'd always go for but I've since changed to Batiste as I feel like that does a better job and shows better results for a longer period of time. It doesn't feel like a lot of product goes into your hair but it seems to get used up fairly quickly. However, saying that, I do still go back to this product.
Tresemme Heat defence; This is just a sample size, but is a product I use on a regular basis and that I have already re purchased. I just feel like it does the job well and smells lovely which is always a bonus!
Impulse sprays & So exciting; I always have a type of body spray in my handbag to keep me smelling nice throughout the day, their great for a quick top up which lasts a fairly long time. There all very affordable at around £1 and are a great thing to throw in your bag!
Sure Crystal Deodorant; This is my daily deodorant, does the job and doesn't leave any white marks.. lasts throughout the day and is always something I repurchase and stick to.

What have you used up lately, anything you would recommend for me to try out?
xx

  3. Great post - I do love seeing empties! I'm with you on the make up wipes - they're good to take off the first layer of make up (or those super lazy nights - it's better than not taking it off at all!)

  4. I love empties posts, too! I also have just ran out of the Match Perfection foundation and I completely agree with you, I also went from Wake Me Up to this one. I feel like some days it really works for me, and some days it doesn't, so it's pretty hit and miss but I do still have a whole lotta love for it!

  5. Was going to try the Rimmel Foundation but I am glad I saw this post first. I prefer a foundation with a higher coverage! x
